What data we process and why
The guest list. If you sign up, we process your email address and the language you signed up in, to send you news from Claire Bubbles about new editions, events and offers. To be able to prove your consent, we also keep the wording you agreed to, the date and time you signed up and confirmed, and the IP address and browser you did so from.
- Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation). You confirm it through the link we email you; without that confirmation, we don't add you to the list.
- Retention: until you unsubscribe; we then delete your data from the list. You can do so at any time through the link in every email, or by writing to us. If you don't confirm your subscription, we delete the request after 30 days.
The celebrations and contact forms, and emails you send us. We process your name, email address, your message and, on the celebrations form, the date and number of guests of your event, to reply to you and, if you ask, prepare a proposal.
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering the enquiries we receive (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Retention: as long as needed to handle your enquiry and, at most, two years after our last contact, unless a business relationship requires us to keep your data for the periods set by law.
Technical browsing data. Our hosting provider records technical data about each visit, such as IP address, date and page requested, to keep the website running and secure.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and working (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Retention: 90 days at most.
Visit statistics. To know which pages are visited and where visits come from, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device and doesn't follow people from one visit to the next: we only see totals, such as page views, country, device type and referring site.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the website is used, to improve it (Article 6(1)(f)).
To join the guest list we need your email address. On the celebrations and contact forms, your name, email and message are needed to reply to you; the date and number of guests are optional.
We do not build profiles or make automated decisions with your data.
Who else has access to your data
We don't share your data with third parties unless the law requires it. We work with these providers, who process it on our behalf under a data processing agreement:
- Railway Corporation (United States): hosting of the website and of the guest-list database, on servers in the European Union (the Netherlands). Technical logs may be stored in the United States.
- Plus Five Five, Inc., which operates Resend (United States): sending emails.
- Google Ireland Limited (Google Workspace): the mailbox that receives your messages.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): visit statistics and managing the domain names.
These providers may process data in the United States. Plus Five Five, Inc., Google LLC and Cloudflare, Inc. are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so those transfers are covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (Article 45 of the General Data Protection Regulation). Transfers to Railway Corporation rely on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission (Article 46(2)(c)), included in its data processing agreement.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, object to its processing, ask us to restrict it or request a copy to take elsewhere, and withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before. Write to hola@clairebubbles.com and tell us which right you want to exercise.
If you believe we haven't handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
Children
This website is not aimed at children under 14, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
